8 BPC History

This very car is the 4th 405 ever built and was Anthony Crook’s demonstrater / race car – then registered MPH 100.

There are numerous pictures of Mr Anthony Crook racing the car at places like Silverstone and Goodwood.

Now registered 8 BPC this car is currently owned by a Bristol Cars enthusiast who has had the whole car media blasted to remove any surface corrosion.

The Registration 8 BPC comes with the car.

To quote the owner,

"It is now a bare shell on a wheeled pallet. All filler has been removed from the body which now shows signs of mild accident damage on various panels. There is rot around the rear wheel arches and evidence of previous repairs. Some chassis welding may also be needed at the rear. The body woodwork seems sound except for some slight decay in a couple of small areas around the screen and rear window. There is some woodworm in the offside A post.

The car was complete except engine and gearbox prior to dismantling. All the running components which have been removed are available although will need restoration. All glass is present as are instruments etc. Two sets of seats are available. A set in tan vinyl which was in the car and a set in original white leather with black piping which are quite restorable with no tears etc."
