This 1953 Bristol 403 is finished in Metallic Red coachwork paired with light Grey leather upholstery. The lovely Bristol Red carpets are accentuated with light Grey piping around the edges that blend nicely together with seats. The wooden dash is in great condition, topping off what is an extremely well maintained interior cabin. This 403 comes with an incredibly considerable history file containing original service history from new along with MOT’s to provide us with a total millage of 126,699 miles.

Originally dispatched to George Newman Co Brighton LTD (the supplying dealer) the car was then purchased by a William Coupe Haworth from Colne Lancashire. There are detailed service records from his ownership up to 40,000 miles.

Another dealer in HE Olby @ Company from Lewisham High St London owned the car from 18/01/1960 to 14/03/1961 with the millage going from 41,158 to 43,471.

Dr Edward Shortt from Alton Hampshire purchased the car from Clarke & Simpson LTD in London. There are more detailed service records present including a full respray, engine rebuild and re-chroming coming to a total of £7000 in 1981. There are notes from the service record saying that he drove it from 43,859 miles to 102,366 miles. During his ownership the car was updated with a remote gearchange, as fitted to later 403’s and 404’s.
